When young David needs to find refuge from King Shaul, he escapes to the caves at the oasis of Ein Gedi, the same place he knows so well from childhood, the place where he shepherded his father's flock and found quiet and inspiration. At the very same spot, the future King David will write some of the most beautiful chapters of Tehilim (Psalms), prayers that the Jewish people for thousands of years have recited, songs of gratitude and motivation, cries for help and salvation. A thousand years later, the first and last moments of the great Jewish revolt against the Romans will take place at the glorious fortress of Masada, at the top of the cliffs near the Dead Sea. In this tour, traveling deep into the Judean Desert, we will enjoy the beauty and fun of the water springs, the breathtaking views, and the great ruins of the Masada fortress. As we go, we will be following the great stories of King David and of the rebels of the Temple, stories that have influenced Jewish life until this very day.
