Shiloh
Pray in the spot where the Mishkan stood for hundreds of years
Shiloh
How does one change in a single day from a traveler who has wandered the desert for 40 years living off food coming down from the sky, into a farmer working the land? How does a people transform from a tribe of nomads to warriors fighting off their enemies all around, to settlers building homes and cities, and establishing a new independent functioning state? It took hundreds of years from the moment we crossed the Jorden River into the Promised Land, till the first temple was built and Jerusalem became the capitol by King David. In this day tour, visiting Ancient Shiloh, we have the rare and special privilege of witnessing the first moments of our ancestors in the Land of Israel. We will dive into the stories of the Shoftim (judges) and prophets, and together we will search for the actual plaza where the Mishkan stood for hundreds of years. Ancient Shiloh was the wine center in Biblical Times, filled with vineyards and wineries. That’s why there is nothing better than continuing to one of modern local boutique wineries of the area for a tour and tasting! We will end the day with a fun-filled water hike in the fantastic oasis of the Prat Springs, where Yirmiyahu the prophet received his prophesies of destruction and of Nechama (consolation).
