After 2000 years of Exile Jews from all corners of the world gathered together back in the holy city of Jerusalem. For the first time, they have established new neighborhoods outside the walls of the old city, creating the modern city of Jerusalem as we know it today. In these small neighborhoods they lived together – Jews from all around the world. From Asia and Africa or Europe they gathered, every group bringing with them they're different language, Music, Minhagim, and of course their special food them. Exactly in the middle of all these neighborhoods, Machne Yehuda market, 'The Shuk', was created. Till today Shuk Machne Yehuda collects into it an authentic mixture of tastes, fragrances and colors that create the beautiful mosaic of Am Israel.
